xQuesmea 'Lymanii'  is a Mulford Foster bi-generic cross between Quesnelia testudo X Aechmea distichantha v. schlumbergeri. I have heard this one called 'Super testudo'. With an extra large testudo like flower head and the larger (and kinder) foliage of distichantha it is super. 

A very hardy landscaping bromeliad in Central Florida it shrugs off our periodic cold snaps and does well through our months of low rainfall.
